| Sumario, etc. | Se presenta un trabajo experimental donde se han producido melanomas cutáneos por hibridación en peces del género Xiphophorus. Se estudiaron 52 animales con hiperpigmentación, 21 con melanosis grado 1,25 con melanosis grado 2 y 6 con melanomas. Estos tumores se trasmiten genéticamente por genes co-dominantes ligados al sexo. Se considera la posibilidad de que estas neoplasias sean homologables a melanomas producidos en mamíferos y humanos y se concluye que tienen similitudes, inclusive mayores que las observadas en otros modelos experimentales de malanomas. Los genes reguladores de las células melánicas están relacionados al sexo femenino, pero se manifiestan fenotípicamente, más frecuentemente en animales machos (3:1). La inclusión de una hembra albina Xiphophorus aumentó la incidencia de melanomas en sus hijos (de 13,3 % al 14,4%). El crecimiento anormal de células pigmentadas en Xiphophorus representa un problema de regulación genética. This is an experimental work in which we produced cutaneous melanomas by hybridization in fish pertaining to the Xiphophorus genus. We studied 52 animals with hyperpigmentation, 21 with grade 1 melanosis, 25 with grade 2 and 6 with melanomas. These tumors are genetically transmitted through co-dominant genes linked to sex. We considered the possibility that these neoplasias could be homologous to melanomas produced in mamals and human beings. We concluded that they are more similar than the neoplasias observed in other experimental models of melanomas. The genes regulating melanical cells are related to the female sex, but phenotypically, the are much more the incidence of melanomas in her young (from 13,3% to 44,4%). The abnormal growing of pigmented cells in Xiphophorus is basically a problem of genetic regulation. |
