520 _aMorphoanatomy of bud galls of Geoffroea decorticans (Fabaceae), "chañar". Studies to determine and described both the abnormal anatomical structure of the cecidial types more frequently found in Geoffroea decorticans buds in Cuyo, Argentina, as well as the normal stem structure, were carried out. On the other hand, entomological observations to identify the putative galls inductors, parasitoids and commensals were performed. Two structural types there were found: the apple-like, smooth, multicameral gall, and the bur-like, echinate, unicameral one. Galled tissues showed morphological, anantomical and histochemical differences with the normal stem one; in the apple-like gall there was conspicuous hyperplasia of parenchimatic tissues that derives into sclerenchyma. The echinoiud gall showed a noteworthy hyperplasi of vascular tissues. Both of them are characterized by a great increase of tannic and mucilages cell incusions. Several Hymenoptera species have been identified in apple-like galls as possible inductors, and Coleoptera commensals. In echinoid galls, their inductor, Allodiplosis crassa (Diptera: Cecidomyidae), was undoubtedly found which is parasitoidized by Hymenoptera; Hymenoptera and Coleoptera species was also found as commensals, too.
