Se analiza la varianza de las estimaciones, su comparación sugiere que es posible la aplicación del método. The goal of this paper is to bring a quantitative reliable method to estimate the size and weight of different fish species from previous measurements of their otoliths. By this way, it is possible to describe the diet of ichtyophagus birds from the measurements of the otoliths detected in their guts. Regression were made between otoliths size and standard lenght and weight of fifteen fish species from Chascomús Pond, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
