Abstract: Fungal eye infections are rarely found in dogs. Clinically, they have a chronic course and are usually secondary to traumatic injuries, inadequate use of antibiotics and prolonged corticosteroid therapy, as well as failure of immune defensive mechanisms. The etiological agents involved are mainly from two big groups: the filamentous fungi and the yeasts. Three cases of Malassezia pachydermatis associated to blepharitis and conjunctivitis in dogs, are discussed. | ||
