    <subfield code="a">Resumen:   El objetivo de la investigaci&#xF3;n fue verificar cambios hem&#xE1;ticos atribuibles al crecimiento, tipo de alimentaci&#xF3;n y temperatura ambiental en ejemplares de Rana catesbeiana mantenidos en criaderos del nordeste argentino. Durante 3 a&#xF1;os fueron estudiados 323 animales cl&#xED;nicamente sanos (9 a 21 meses de edad, 50 % de cada sexo), asignados a 5 diferentes sistemas de alimentaci&#xF3;n en establecimientos exentos de calefacci&#xF3;n. Los anfibios fueron sometidos a pesajes y extracciones de sangre, a partir de la cual se obtuvieron valores del proteinograma, lipidograma, ionograma, eritrograma, leucograma, enzimograma, glucosa y nitr&#xF3;geno no proteico. Bajo un dise&#xF1;o completamente aleatorizado se calcularon estad&#xED;sticas descriptivas y se realizaron an&#xE1;lisis de variancia y comparaciones de medias. El avance de la edad se caracteriz&#xF3; por significativas disminuciones de glucosa, triglic&#xE9;ridos, colesterol total, C-HDL, lipoprote&#xED;na alfa, &#xE1;cido &#xFA;rico, calcio, f&#xF3;sforo inorg&#xE1;nico, fosfatasa alcalina, leucocitos totales y linfocitos, as&#xED; como por aumentos significativos de prote&#xED;nas totales, alb&#xFA;minas, beta y gamma globulinas, C-LDL, lipoprote&#xED;na beta, urea, creatinina, potasio, colinesterasa, creatinfosfoquinasa, hematocrito, eritrocitos, hemoglobina y neutr&#xF3;filos. El tipo de alimento influy&#xF3; significativamente sobre los indicadores nutricionales y metab&#xF3;licos; ning&#xFA;n alimento artificial pudo superar los resultados obtenidos con alimentaci&#xF3;n natural en laguna. El fr&#xED;o ambiental caus&#xF3; significativos aumentos de urea y de numerosas actividades enzim&#xE1;ticas, as&#xED; como disminuciones significativas de prote&#xED;nas totales, alb&#xFA;minas, potasio, calcio, f&#xF3;sforo inorg&#xE1;nico, magnesio, hematocrito, eritrocitos, hemoglobina, leucocitos totales, linfocitos, triglic&#xE9;ridos, colesterol total y glucosa, que se atribuyen al cese de la alimentaci&#xF3;n durante el letargo invernal. El conocimiento de tales variaciones fisiol&#xF3;gicas podr&#xED;a ser &#xFA;til al momento de establecer el estado nutricional, metab&#xF3;lico y sanitario de estos anfibios, aportando elementos de juicio capaces de optimizar la producci&#xF3;n de carne de rana.  Abstract:  The aim of this research was to verify hematic changes attributable to growing, feeding, and environmental temperature in Rana catesbeiana specimens maintained in hatcheries from northeastern Argentina. During 3 years, 323 clinically healthy animals (9-21 months old, 50 % each sex) were studied. They were assigned to 5 different feeding systems, in farms without heating system. Amphibians were submitted to weighing and blood extractions. By conventional laboratory procedures, values from proteinogram, lipidogram, ionogram, erythrogram, leukogram, enzymogram, glucose and non protein nitrogen, were obtained. Using a complete randomized design, descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, and mean comparisons were calculated. Advance of age was characterized by significant decreases of glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL-C, alpha lipoprotein, uric acid, calcium, inorganic phosphorous, alkaline phosphatase, total leukocytes and lymphocytes, as well as significant increases of total protein, albumin, beta and gamma globulin, LDL-C, beta lipoprotein, urea, creatinine, potassium, cholinesterase, creatinphosphokinase, hematocrit, erythrocytes, hemoglobin and neutrophils. Food type alimentasignificantly influenced on nutritional and metabolic indicators; no artificial foods could improve the results obtained with natural feeding in a lagoon. Environmental cold caused significant increases of urea and numerous enzymatic activities, as well as significant decreases of total protein, albumin, potassium, calcium, inorganic phosphorous, magnesium, hematocrit, erythrocytes, hemoglobin, total leukocytes, lymphocytes, triglycerides, total cholesterol and glucose, which are attributed to the ceasing of feeding during winter lethargy. Knowledge of such physiological variations could be useful to establish nutritional, metabolic, and sanitary states for these amphibians, contributing with useful data to optimize frog&#x2019;s meat production.</subfield>
