G. Don is reported. Some characteristics are singled out, thus making it possible to tell Brugmansia sanguinea from various species of section Stragmonium and section Dutra of the genus Datura. Presence of extracellular Ca oxalate crystals is emphasized as a good diagnostic characteristic for this species.
